Probably not, but I do wonder about the opposition's spending plans

Cllr Gail Engert, Haringey’s Lib Dem opposition leader, said: “The Liberal Democrats believe that the £33m would be far better spent on new affordable homes and a new swimming pool for Wood Green.”

New swimming pool? We don't have one at all. We currently have to traipse to Crouch End and endure what must be the coldest baby pool in the world ever. Why is it that all my life I wanted to sneak into that small pool of wee just for a few moments of warmth and couldn't because I was obviously without child but the moment I get access to the magic wrist band, the place goes all Siberian on us ?

Thanks for flagging this up. Hard to express my disgust and dismay but no surprises here. Is this council totally beyond control of any other authority? They seem to do exactly what they like. Does Mr Corbyn know what's going on round here? Jeez.... In a week when it's been all about what's going on over the pond with a certain new President, our own council is acting is a way he'd be sure to approve. Expect a wall, soon.
