What an excellent article.
Was just about to post this. Great article, very worrying outlook.
Indeed
It's about time their corruption made it national...
At the St Ann's (by election) hustings, the Conservative candidate commended Haringey Council, that has to speak volumes about their lack of resistance or complicity.
A call to Labour Party members to oppose Clair Kober's development plans, do not buy the proposals on a poorly based commercial scheme. The leader of the council calls it 'radical,' it's deplorable, and by industry standards alone, recognised as a bad deal for Haringey.

As stakeholders in our borough, take charge if this issue and say No. Please make your feelings known that there is no support for this scheme within the party.

Clare Kober replies in the Guardian, unfortunately there is no 'comment' section below to respond to her letter.

Would we see the world differently if we were to live on a housing estate as Bob Crow did, or even the gestures of Architect Ernö Goldfinger to promote Balfron Tower, by living there with his wife for two months?
Thank you Maggie, for expanding on the article, maybe you have to subscribe to post any correspondence on the Guardian's portal, or was it a closed article, for fear of further criticism directly.

Claire Kober's piece is in the Letters section so no comments are possible - but there are plenty below Aditya Chakrabortty's original article.

We are cash strapped, do we need to do this?

Who' s going to be working there, given the cuts in teams and services? Entire teams have been decimated and teams disbanded.
