I'm about to get Brian of the Classic Victorian Tiling Company to do my hall, having seen the careful work he did on a neighbour's hallway.

Thanks. My co-house owner would like to see an example of the work done before we decide who to choose. Would your neighbour be willing for her to call round do you think?

He may well be (alas I can't remember his name - but he lives in the next street and was very happy to talk to me about Brian and how pleased he was with his work). The other option is if you can wait another 4 weeks, you can come and look at my hall when Brian has completed it - at the end of May. My number is 07813 068705.

I didn't use either of these guys but we've just had our Victorian tiled floor in the hallway restored by George who is a lovely guy and did an excellent job. He took his time and didn't cut corners. He was also reasonably priced. He was recommended to us by someone who works in Original Features in Crouch End.
