Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

School’s out for the February half term next week; but there’s plenty to keep children and young people busy in Haringey during the week long break.

A booklet is available on the council’s website, listing the extensive programme of activities running across the borough.

Lots of activities are free but there are some where a fee is applicable. Please check details in the programme where you’ll also be able to see if an activity needs to be booked, or is a drop-in session. Contact details for further information are clearly listed.

For sports mad youngsters, there’s basketball training and matches, boxing and even circus skills. And, as you’d expect in Haringey, Tottenham Hotspur Football Club is holding two hours of daily football coaching for 5-11 year olds at its Mini Kicks camp.

The swimming pool at Northumberland Park School is open every afternoon for free swimming sessions (under 8s must be accompanied by an adult) and groovy roller skaters can show off their moves to music at skating sessions taking place at the Tottenham Community Sports Centre– loan skates are available!

Bruce Grove Youth Centre is open 3-7pm every day where plenty of drop-in activities are taking place, from cooking to DJing. Also at Bruce Grove is Unity Radio – the online radio station run by young people for young people. Unity Radio is looking for more of Haringey’s young residents to get involved during half term.

Activities can also be searched for online. Events are often added to the programme; check out the What's On? calendar to search for all activities and events for children and young people by date and venue.
