Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

#GrowWild in Harringay - Mattison Road wildflowers looking good

Thanks to Alison's careful management and the diligent planting out of tiny seedlings by one of Harringay's younger gardeners (Thank you Amy) the main wildflower bed in Mattison Road is looking very good indeed.

Here's a few pictures taken with the help of a passing urchin

This is great Thanks to "young gardener"  We could do similar in  all planters int eh autumn or spring though some will need space to be made and also need weeding and raking over will to be in order. Oh and someone to care take/water etc  But wouldn't they look good!

Hi gbee, local volunteer gardeners, young and old, are getting involved in trying to replant the Ladder planters with bulbs for spring, flowers for summer, some edible bits and small fruit trees in the larger planters. We organise some planting and weeding groups on

and the more people involved the better so all are welcome.

I planted a load of strawberry runners from my garden in the Mattison Road planters last year (on the pavement side only for safety reasons) but they don't seem to have survived the replanting. I put the rest on Pemberton Road and some of those are still there, so when they start producing new runners we can spread them around.
