Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!
Green lanes jewellery shop raided
This morning in broad daylight four guys with sledgehammer and machetes on three motorbikes - one drove through the shop window and then they raided it, and fled in all directions. Local shopkeepers came out with brooms to try and take them on without success. Scary to watch and the poor shop-woman was terrified.

Why raid a shop that sells gold plated jewellery - the goods would be difficult to palm off as they'd be identifiable and the smelt value would be next to nothing. If you're gonna rob, rob the good stuff!
Perhaps protection money was not forthcoming?!?
