Excellent. Thanks. If you nee help putting them up let me know.
Thanks I am so glad you are doing this study. We are on the ladder not the lanes but slightly uphill and I do think about air quality a lot given the volume of traffic. Please do share the findings widely as it would be great to be able to use proper data to feed in to the wider question about how address the MH to TPL traffic problem in the long term.
It's Bank Holiday Monday. Hundreds of bargain hunters coming out of the Arena ?
I suggest you make an appointment with your GP or Practice Nurse for the wheezing. Traffic fumes can aggravate existing asthma and there is increasing evidence that traffic pollution can trigger asthma in adults and children. And it may get worse as we head into (hopefully) warmer weather.
I think it would be great to have a particulates monitor in Green Lanes too - PM2.5 & PM10. The major pollution incident in middle of March was mainly particulate. It would also be interesting to see the potential impact from all the charcoal grills in the restaurants - there's a visible smog around Green Lanes some days.
There's a 'background urban' air pollution monitor around Arsenal that could be compared to a Green Lanes monitor.
There's more on the mid-March pollution episodeat the London air site.
