Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

This male black & white cat has been reported as found in Vartry Rd N15 area on 2nd May.

Unfortunately he is not neutered. He has been scanned for free by a vet to see if he is microchipped, but unfortunately he is not microchipped. Hopefully he will be helped and neutered. Free Cat Neutering

The finder has put details on Pets Located

Animal Rescue charities like The Scratching Post recommend that it's vital for cats to be neutered and microchipped. Adult cats enjoy catflap access to a back garden - and cats need a catflap access to get back inside their home. They advise locking the catflap at night so that cats are safe inside at night as it reduces the risk of them getting lost or injured. Remember not to let them out the front door as there is the risk of being injured by a car.

He’s been living around Vartry road for many years but doesn’t have an owner. I know various people have fed and looked after him over the years, including myself but I hadn’t seen him for a while. Do you know what will happen to him now?

That's great that you know him Stephanie. How sad that this cat has been homeless and unneutered for so long plus unneutered cats have such a difficult life, as well as all the homeless kittens born as a result.

I presume that this cat is at the RSPCA Harmsworth Animal Hospital, 22 Sonderburg Rd, London N7 7QD. Tel 0300 123 0712. His Pets Located Ref is N0108244.

He will be neutered, microchipped, vet treated, flead and wormed. He will need a home and as you know there are so many homeless cats that it's often a long wait - black cats and black & white cats usually wait the longest. The reality is that there is sometimes a risk of being put down.

So if you or anyone else who cares about him might be interested in applying to offer him a home, it's a good idea to get on the phone fast to the RSPCA. He's a lovely cat!

Hi Everyone, this cat is called Monkey and as Stephanie mentioned he's been living on Vartry road for long however he has been handed over to the RSPCA and is currently in their hospital. Is anyone interested in adopting him permanently? Please contact me for more info or call the RSPCA Harmsworth Animal Hospital directly. Tel 0300 123 0712. His Pets Located Ref is N0108244. It would be great if he could come back to the territory he knows and became someone's family pet.
