Food waste non collection
Is anyone else having problems with their food waste collection? I have just complained for the fourth time since August that our food waste has not been collected.
Are we just a one off or is there a wider problem on the ladder?

Occasionally, perhaps a bit more than occasionally in the past six months or so, one of the three collections (black wheelie, green wheelie, food+garden waste) gets carried over to the following day. Can't recall any collection being entirely missed though (on Umfreville). Our food waste bin, with any other to be emptied that day, gets moved to the street end of the front path so it's as obvious as possible to the refuse collectors.

If you don't leave it out on the street and make it blatantly obvious mine has been left a coupe of times. Also if you don't use the correct bags they won't take it.
I am constantly complaining about black rubbish not being collected...have had to resort to leaving bins out on the road night before to ensure they get collected.

It's been good here Karen, with only the occasional missed one that has been collected the following day, but I wonder if different gangs do different ends of the Ladder. We get a Wednesday visit and we're on Warham, so the last road on the N4 end.

Our food waste wasn't collected for three weeks and in that time maggots settled into the caddy and after phoning Veoila for the umpteenth time for them to collect the food caddy and made them aware that maggots had made there home in the food caddy Veoila stated that they wouldn't collect the caddy as it was a health hazard.
If they had collected the caddy in the first place it would never have become a health hazard as I told them.
Veoila are a complete and utter joke.
