Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

I'm having floor replaced in some rooms in my flat and I was wondering if the original floor boards are worth anything (assuming there is good condition) as they will be removed as part of the process?

Yes they are. Victorian floorboards are increasingly hard to come by and will have a value.
Hi. What size they are? Are they big enough for raised bed/planting boxes? If so, I'd love to use some for my allotment. Wouldn't like to see them going to waste. Unless they are usable for someone as floorboards again..

If memory serves--*retail* on vintage (i) if there is enough to do, say a room, and (ii) if they are in good shape--is circa 50 a metre. What finish is on them may also affect value. I went this route as part of my own home redo in one room rather than trying to get planks of various sizes from here and there. I was particularly motivated to go this avenue as these were unfinished so I didn't have a stripping cost on top of the material cost.

The boards were out of an 1830s home in Hertfordshire. The quality was better than mine as my existing even in the good rooms as these about 15mm thick and the Herts boards are 20mm thick, with no defects and I had original planks like 10 or 15' long.

I mention this for reference as I expect this is the high end.  If yours are 1 bit in 3 are OK and only short bits, then OK for planters, etc, but if they are decent length it's kind of a shame. One can see old growth pine from modern speed growth garbage (costly garbage) fairly readily.

They are not worthless. If there in good condition you should be aiming for 40 per SQM.

Worth far more than new flooring. You could try giving a few places a call that specialise in selling and fitting reclaimed floors to see if they'd be interested in buying. I walk past this one a couple of times a month and they seem pretty high end
