Great idea, but bearing in mind, of course, that the Clean Air Act outlaws the burning of firewood in open fireplaces in smoke control areas such as Haringey.

My understanding of the Act is that you can only be done for "acquiring unauthorized fuel" ;the burning of it is not an offence - unless it makes black smoke.

There are plenty of stoves approved for use in smoke control areas though
