Festivals etc, Wireless in Finsbury Park July 2024
Leafing through the current edition of the Big Issue, I find "The Big Issue festival guide 2024".
It is astonishing how many of these events there are but HoL readers will wish to know that the list includes "Wireless 12-14 July, Finsbury Park, London from £94.60".
For me, this will be something to avoid. The guide also shows that, on that same weekend, there are no fewer than seven other UK festivals: 2000Trees - Gloucestershire £36, El Dorado - Herefordshire £265, Funk & Soul - Margate £99.50, Mostly Jazz - Birmingham £170, TRNSMT - Glasgow £210, Tropical Pressure - Cornwall £155 and Kubix - Sunderland £43. For those who really like to travel there is also Mad Cool in Madrid £215.
Sadly, not much hope of festivalistas being pulled away from London by these prices.

But Livenation's booking fee is the priority of the DOJ.
