Dodgy Santander Cash Machine on Green Lanes?
The T, WG and E Journal reports the case of someone who had money debited from their account but got no cash by the cash machine at the Abbey now Santander bank on Green Lanes.
The bank says it was an isolated incident but may be worth double checking your bank statements if the machine acts up on you?

They used to charge you to cash cheques.
The ATM is one of those brilliant developments that were never forseen in Science Fiction.
Remember those bank holiday weekends when you had to budget cash for three, or even four days ?
Remember buying enough foreign currency so you could get that straw donkey on holiday ?

Never had a problem with that machine,and often used it. Calm down. I remember when shops used to close down over Easter and no one starved. Likewise Christmas.

What's a cheque?
Pamish, check with the National Pensioners Convention. They'll tell you that large swathes of the population are preparing for battle against the 'phasing out' of cheques by 1918. I'm with them.
