I have just been asked to pass on this message:
"Can everyone spread this message within their groups- For anyone who is struggling with finding fresh produce — the new Covent Garden market is 75% down in sales. fresh fruit and veg need to be sold so they’re going to start selling boxes to people rather than companies. If you go on NewCoventGardenmarket.com you can sign up for home delivery veg and fruit boxes. They can deliver milk, bread etc. too"
Looks pretty interesting, though I'm not sure how old this message is.

I tried this having seen a similar post on guardian-on -line three weeks ago, the website leads to a range of delivery companies with tempting boxes of fruit and or vegetables, with a limited supply of bread and milk too. At that time the Covent Garden Company was over subscribed so I had no success but perhaps they have now upped their deliveries.
We just started doing this and it's excellent, can really recommend First Choice.
We used Allgreens from this site and would really recommend: very good quality produce (tomatoes in particular) and a wide selection, with herbs and ginger as part of the deal. Basic fruit and veg box not dirt cheap but plentiful and lasted us some time. Added milk and eggs (good), but bread was rather disappointing Hovis!
