Council tax to be frozen for third year

Council tax will be frozen for the third year in a row after the Council took advantage of a Government subsidy equivalent to a 2.5 per cent rise to local authorities. 

The announcement, due to be confirmed by the council’s cabinet next week, means that the average Band D household will see its bills stay at £1,494.14 for the 2012/13 financial year.
