Chestnuts Park Playground set to open on 24th April

The playground at Chestnuts Park is due to open again hopefully by 24 April provided the rubberised mulch flooring has been laid this week.

A huge shout out to everyone who donated in the recent fundraiser to pay for the remaining existing playground equipment to get a refurb and repaint to match all the new items which have now been installed.

Local user and parent groups raised £1.3k in a few days. The Friends of Chestnuts Park used that money, plus some of an environment impact grant from a recent festival in the park, to get decorators in to clean, repair and repaint some of the existing playground items so that they look as fresh and new as the new equipment. 

A big thank you to Friends of Chestnuts Park who continue to work to enhance and protect this lovely green space.
