Care Quality Commission statistics-based analysis of GP practices
The Care Quality Commission has today launched a statistical assessment of the risk posed by all GP practices, and hence their priority for inspection, from 1 to 6.
You can type in your postcode & see the rating for local GP practices (they are at both ends of the scale):

I've been looking at the data for Bridge House again and I've started to wonder if part of the problem with the clinical ratings for some of the indicators (the ones showing as being a risk in the first few pages, like the cervical screening indicato ) read like they do because you can't also see the context. I use Bridge and it has a high proportion of patients in the waiting room from communities where people have recently arrived. If the questions ask about things like having a scan in the last 5 years or being at high risk of coronary heart disease, could that be more of a reflection of the medical care some people received in their country of origin rather than at Bridge House? That doesn't, of course, change the patent experience indicators at the end.

Bridge House receives a bad score because it is appalling! I finally left a few years back because I just couldn't take it anymore. Time and time again I complained to them about the how impossible it was to get an appointment, the rudeness of the front-desk staff, and the total lack of professionalism but it just fell on deaf ears. I am pleased to see them score poorly. Maybe they will finally be forced to improve but at least people will be made aware of how dreadful they are
