I recently moved more towards South Tottenham from the ladder and noticed a restaurant / coffee shop which appeared to be buzzing one evening. The next day it was closed again ...
It appears somewhat different when peeking through their shutters, to the other local eateries. With some very low lamps and what appeared to be a lovely wooden counter it looks quite trendy.
Anyway, I had been trying to investigate and finally saw a sign last night saying that they are opening on Thursday and a name! Buonissimo.
I found them on Facebook which mentioned their opening (which I must have witnessed) https://www.facebook.com/pages/Buonissimo/229995347202587?fref=ts but wanted to see if anyone made it to their opening and what the general reception is about the place?

Ah the missus (from Parma) will be pleased. Will await your review.
Went there last night for dinner to try the place out. Really nice relaxed atmosphere, friendly people and a good menu. Nothing massively swanky or cool, but good simple Italian food. I'd recommend it, I hope they do well.
I wasn't able to make it last night, but I'm going to head down on Saturday for a bite to it. Looking forward to it.
Just had a coffee in here and it was very nice - big windows and pleasant interior. I can't comment on the food but it seemed to have all the usual pizza and pasta type things along with some more interesting options, eg tagliatelle with wild boar. And it has gluten-free pasta on the menu, which for me is a big attraction.
It's also good to see some life in that bit of West Green Road which, apart from a decent corner shop over the road, mostly seems to be offices or social clubs.
Have had my eye on this place for a while - excited to learn it's open. I think we'll go in tomorrow for lunch and will report back!
Have broken the Sunday tradition of Ginger Chai Latte and cake at Blend to try Buonissimo today. What a great addition to West Green Road this is and they do takeaway too! The cafe/ restaurant is smart but understated in its decor and has a good menu. The staff are friendly and welcoming. It really stands out on this part of West Green which currently only serves the fried chicken/ social club market.
We had a light snack. I had the delicious Ham and Cheese Arancini and my wife (chief aficionado on Italian food) had a tasty slice of pizza (£1.50!!!!), along with two juices and finished with 2 cups of espresso. Great value at £12.50 all in.
I think this will be a great place for an evening meal especially if you like your pizza with a thin crust as I do. Check out the menu below for other tasty highlights. Hope this is the start of a more diverse set of eateries along that stretch that will fill up some of the empty derelict units.
Thanks for the tip Natalie.
I drove past recently and there seemed to be a big TV screen hanging on the wall. I'm very tempted by the food but MTV or football or other background noise would be unwelcome. As the Italians say, "was gibt"?
Hmm.
What I suspect is going on is that they are intending to show matches now and again for the simple reason that football is a very big thing in Italy. Provided it doesn't stop conversation it wouldn't be "unwelcome" to me - far from it.
agreed - Bar Italia in Soho is always at its best when Italy is playing... could be a good way for them to get business given imminence of a certain football competition.
looks good, there is also an italian restaurant on green lanes as well, durazzo's i think, just down from the old queens head ( now a furniture shop) ie towards the turnpike lane of green lanes. menu looks good - has anyone tried it?
Oh yes, there are various rave (and not so rave) reviews about Durazzo on the site .. http://www.harringayonline.com/forum/topics/durazzo-italian-restaurant
