Harringay online

Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Sunday - in the cafe above Seven Sisters tube station. Paperbacks three for £1, hardbacks £1-ish each.  Lots of plants grown by local enthusiasts.

All to raise funds for Wards Corner to go towards the legal fees for a Judicial Review of the council's demolition plans for the market, shops, houses and jobs.

You all need more books and plants. We'll be there all afternoon. You can park in the side streets on Sundays, or it's a quick hop on the 259, 279, 41 etc.

You can also get some of the atmosphere of a Columbian mothers' day (though the market isn't open, the cafe is).

Oh and if anyone has an interest in military history and tactics, or political biographies, please contact me direct as we have several boxes of these, they are a bit specialist to add to the mixed selection on sale. Or ideas of dealers etc.

What time will you be around til?

Too late to reply now but we were there till 4pm. I now have a car full of books on their way to oxfam if you want to pick over them, and the plants are back in Sue's back yard in Grove Park Rd.

We had a good day considering the rain and the pavements being festooned with red plastic barricades from the road works - we made enough for an hour's barristering.

Oh, I posted at 3.50 so I would have missed it anyway

We don't need more books - quite the opposite - but if you happen to have tomato plants or courgettes left and Sue doesn't mind me popping by sometime I'd be happy to buy some

Liz
