Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Hello,

To increase storage space we hoped to board out our attic and install a wider opening with ladder, could anyone recommend someone who has carried out similar work?

Thanks

Con2

Not quite the answer you're looking for but if you have basic DIY skills this isn't too tricky to do yourself if you get the right ladder. I fitted one of these https://www.ladderstore.com/alu-fix-concertina-loft-ladders which can be done in a fairly small opening.

thanks for the suggestion Andrew

Hi Con2, who did you go with in the end? We need someone to lay loft boards for us asap. It's not something we feel confident to tackle ourselves because the joists are covered by thick insulation.

Thanks!

We used Loft Boys  good job and all the cost were upfront

Thanks Michael !

I also used the loft boys and can recommend them.

I know this is an old post but we’re also looking into this. I’m interested in which loft space you focused on - we have a larger space top front and a long but thin area at the back of the house. The bigger space is the more appealing to work with but the hatch is higher up, with limited floor space below.
