Good morning Michael. The climbing rose that you saw was one of three that we planted in the 1980s. It has survived the immense growth of other species that completely cover the 8 foot steel fence (put there by Thames Water when this part of the New River Path was opened) and now climbs into the upper branches of an apple tree. Very few blooms are visible down at our level but its good to know that its enduring vigour is appreciated by passers by.
