It seems that turbulent times persist for Harringay-based electrics wholesaler, BDC.
A late 2008 management buy-out was quickly followed the overnight loss of protected trees in the wholesaler's Green Lanes car park in Harringay.
Does the sudden closure of their Croydon store just announced in the DIY trade press mean that we're likely to see the Harringay BDC site change hands in the near future?
If it does get sold it seems difficult to imagine that it won't be sold for development. That being the case, it's likely to have a significant impact on the character of the northern part of Harringay's stretch of Green Lanes.
(Here's a link to a Google Street view of BDC - taken before the trees were felled)
Keep 'em peeled folks.
