Does anyone know why there are always bags of household rubbish at the bottom of Cavendish Road (just past the 7th Day Aventist church ) ?
At first I thought it was fly tipping, but it is always there so I don't think it can be ?

A couple of years ago flats were built on the back of the shop on the corner (Dostlar). The rubbish has been appearing every day since. I was acosted once when taking a photo to send to the council, the guy from the shop denied it was from there, but I'm not convinced.
I can't tell whether it is from the shop and the flats, or just the flats. I have reported it to the council, and they say it should go on Green Lanes where it gets collected 3 times daily, but there seems to be a bit of apathy towards actually resolving the issue. Maybe if other people reported it, they would have to do something. Some days you can hardly walk past as there is so much.
There is also lots of rubbish dumped at the bottom of hewitt every day. It is domestic waste that I guess comes from the flats above and behind Aubergine cafe. It is never bagged properly and is usually spilling out across the street. There are often large items like shopping trolleys, ironing boards etc left alongside too.
I called veolia once and they said to ring the council. After a couple of calls where I was just in a queue for half an hour I gave up but will try again.
We also get mattresses left halfway up our road by the passage almost every week and Im not sure if this is being left legitimately for a pick up or just being fly tipped. Either way it looks awful.
Not legitimate. It is fly tipping. Legitimate pick ups are from gardens only. Always report it
yep, there is always a load of rubbish there. It's horrible walking through it and really unhygienic as well as unsightly. The council should tackle the flat occupants and the shop to warn them about this, whoever is responsible. There seems to be a creeping acceptance that it's ok to just tip rubbish anywhere you like round here and no one gets fined or tackled about it. What's the point of laws if they don't get used?
i can beat this. someone has dumped a full set of sofa cushions and a mount of other soft furnishings in my front garden. was away on saturday night, so i presume that's when they did it. rang up veolia but couldn't get through to anyone, so i have no idea as to how to get rid of it.
Call the council refuse department. They will collect it for free if you book a pick up. Well... that is if you can get through. See link below:

By the way - cant believe someone fly tipped in your garden! How cheeky.
Oh my god - this has happened to us twice in the past week!
Came home on two occasions to find random plastic shopping bags containing rubbish (old belts, glasses case, used envelopes addressed to people further down the street) on our doorstep. Wtf?
