Autumn

Autumn moves on apace. Trees shed their foliage under a bright sky. In the lower garden, we burned the dry leathery leaves of the walnut tree on the fire bed where last week we marked Guy Fawkes Night. Other fallen leaves were hoovered up by the mower and added to the compost bins. Soon we shall begin the winter work before planting for next year' crops.
