Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Was punched in the face by this person this afternoon because I wouldn’t get out of his way on the pavement and told him to ride on the road. I’ve reported to police but just wanted to let people know about him because he is well known in the area as a dangerous nuisance because of his pavement riding at full speed, but also now that he is aggressively violent towards women who call him out. If anyone knows who he is or where he lives please let me know.

Very sorry to hear this, Lauren. Unforgiveable.

Shocking!

Are you ok?

This Guy needs to be caught.

Do you have a CAD Number in case we see him and can call it in?

Take Care and look after yourself

Mags

I’m ok thank you, I’m made of strong stuff. CAD4956 05/08/24 is the crime reference number police are looking for him, please contact police on 101 and quote reference number. He is a scourge and when I posted on our street WhatsApp group I received many reports of him driving agressively and at speed on the pavement and being abusive. He rides his scooter like it’s a weapon and has a massive chip on his shoulder if you approach him about his behaviour, and is particularly nasty to women. As soon as I got my phone out as evidence he punched me in the head and rode off laughing. I usually see him on Pemberton and on Wightman near the top of Pemberton. He needs this thing confiscating before he kills or seriously injures someone.

note this isn’t about electric scooters, it’s about a particularly vile individual.

Thanks Lauren, CAD noted, will keep my eyes peeled for this one.

Hopefully, the Police will pick him up pdq and charge him with assault.

Yes indeed, a vile individual

Very sorry to hear this Lauren, that's unforgiveable. Hope you're OK. I have actually seen him in the past and will keep an eye out.

Update- I found out his address and informed police. They’ve chosen to close the case without action. Women’s safety from vile, violent men isn’t on their list of priorities. Just want to warn women and vulnerable people to be extra vigilant if you see this pathetic excuse of a man that he might punch you if you don’t get out of his way.

That's really not on. I mean the police (in)action of course. My autocorrect tried to change police to plod.

Please don't let this go if possible, though I've been in your shoes and can understand if you want to just move on.

With your permission, I'm happy to escalate (or join you in escalating) this to the police during the next Ladder Community Safety Partnership meeting.

Yes please do. It’s clear the police are ineffective now and we only see them dancing with ravers at events in the park and queuing at kebab shops. Funny how there’s always enough of them on the streets when there’s a football match, but not enough of them when it comes to keeping women safe. They are an absolute joke.

I'm disgusted to learn the police have closed the case Lauren.  And absolutely disgusted to read of that specimens behaviour !!  Good luck to you Lauren.

Hello Lauren. The news about the investigation is shocking. Can you let us know (briefly) the reason the police have provided?

If there is no good basis for the decision I would suggest it is escalated, if necessary to the Borough Commander and thereafter the Ombudsman.

If you would like to contact me directly, please send a connection request and I will respond.

Hi Lauren

thanks for sharing and sorry to hear about your ordeal.  I’d suggest highlighting police non action to the local councillor, this should not be swept under the carpet
