The Post Office is apparently still open for business nationally but has anyone had local deliveries this week?

I wonder if they are switching off -- we only got mail twice in 4 weeks on my section of the ladder, and starting around the time you stopped getting mail, we started getting it every 2-3 days.
I received three packages yesterday - posted on varying dates but no more than ten days earlier. Though some other packages sent earlier or at the same time are still to arrive.
Yes, mail delivered yesterday and the day before.
I received some first class UK post this week but it took a week to arrive. Presumably delays are continuing because staff are either off sick or self isolating if they are themselves vulnerable or have had contact with anybody with the virus.
At Christmas they employ temporary staff to deal with the increased volume of parcels at that time of year. Why can’t they do this now when more people are ordering online? I’m sure there must be lots of people who would be glad to earn something if they have lost their jobs
I just received a delivery posted on the 27th. It's a bank holiday today so I wouldn't normally expect anything. Patience is a virtue. I think they're doing their best under difficult circumstances.
In fairness, they have been doing deliveries on Sundays to catch up, and we received a parcel here on the Gardens today (when by rights posties shouldn't be working on bank holidays). Stuff taking a long time to arrive but would be churlish to fault anyone. I wouldn't want to be out there doing that job.
Has anyone else still been having trouble getting post/parcels, especially on the Ladder? I'm still waiting for stuff from mid-April and hoping it's not lost and that I'm not the only one...
Solidarity with our fab posties who are doing a great job!
The one or two items sent to me by Royal Mail / Post Office took a long time.
Also, if you need to send anything there is now always a huge queue at the Post Office - the other day I went down at 10 and found it it didn't open til 11, but there were already about 20 people waiting. I've mostly resorted to using couriers now.
They weren't without their issues either, it was quite common early on that "next day" mean 2-3 business days.
It seems, touch wood, that they're back on track. Can't really speak for RM, although the one thing I had delivered by them came on the first day of the estimate, so clearly it's pot luck. We've had a postie come every day for well over a month now, I think.
That said, I can't remember the last time I received a first class delivery the very next day. I was pleased to see something posted on Monday come today. I'm still waiting for something posted on 29 April, though. And something posted on 4 May and 5 May.
