Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Applications invited for Haringey 40:20 Community Fund supporting Green Projects in the borough

Via Haringey 40:20

Are you part of a local group that’s looking to make a change in Haringey? Have you got a great idea for getting more people in your local area to work together? Been wanting to get your neighbours involved in a green project? Well look no further.

This fund aims to support community led action that will help deliver our ambitious 40% reduction in CO2 emissions by 2020. We are looking for organisations in the borough to take on board 40:20 aims and deliver a project for local people.

Supporting the local community is not only a core principle of Haringey 40:20, it will be essential to its success. We recognise that local people acting as ambassadors in their own communities is one of the most effective ways of encouraging local action.
Haringey 40:20 Steering Group

The total amount available in this round is £10,500 and is possible thanks to sponsorship offered to the Haringey 40:20 fund by British Gas and from Feed In Tariff revenue from solar PV panels, installed in local schools in Muswell Hill as part of the DECC Low Carbon Communities Challenge.

The Fund is administered by the Haringey 40:20 Steering Group – a partnership between the Council and local representatives.

For more information please see the Community Fund Application and Guidance document (attached below as a .doc) or visit the Haringey 40:20 website

Open until March 5th
