Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

The friendlier version of the public showing of the plans for Apex House, the 22-storey tower threatened soon from Grainger, is on at CoNEL today 12-4pm.  If you miss this, they are showing it again on Tuesday 9th at the Seven Sisters indoor market, 6 to 7.30pm - this is for the market workers but the discussion is open.

The display boards are also online, at  http://apexhousedevelopment.co.uk/downloads/Public-Consultation-Boa...     including new info re the interior layout etc.

These drop-in sessions are perhaps more productive than the bigger meetings, the people showing it are very charming and helpful, including the architect and a Grainger man.   They all seem to believe that what they plan - FagPacket Towers - is a good thing.  No wine but fresh fruit is on offer.

(Why must everything be a 'landmark' development?)

Anyway, there's something very fitting about one of their photoshops featuring the new "regenerated" (but broken) Broad Lane street sign:

That's the famous 'slender' view of the proposal.  They are a bit more reluctant to feature the actual view as seen from the High Road - Fagpacket Towers ate its finest.
