Anyone for cocktails?

It may come as a surprise to many of you, given that I spend so much time picking up litter and digging around in compost, that I am something of a cocktail connoisseur. Last Friday, I was out on a fact-finding mission in Harringay to discover where to sample good cocktails. Here's my recommendation for three of the best:

Margaritas at La Vina

A decent effort at this tequila classic (and not too expensive). 

Espresso Martinis at Blend

All the rage in Shoreditch but you don't have to go all the way to Hipsterville as new cocktail kids on the block Blend serve up this delicious vodka and kahlua mix. A drink I'd not had before but was so impressed by that I've learned how to make it at home for those moments when I kick off the wellies and relax. 

Mojitos at Jam in Jar

Lots of ice, minty and very refreshing, Jam in a Jar make a mean mojito. This Cuban classic is an absolute must for a night out in the hood.

Also worth a mention

Blend also make a fine Bloody Mary if you're in need of a bit of vitamin C with your Sunday brunch
