An Invitation from an Aussie descendant of the man who built The Salisbury

This in the mailbox today:

Hi All,

For what it’s worth I am heading to the Salisbury Pub on 22^nd August for a beer and a meal. Well, I am really going to have a look at the place my great uncle built all those years ago.

My great grandfather was John’s Brother. I’m not a Hill, obviously. My grand mother was Eliza Cathles Hill she was born in Australia and was one of two children to Robert Scott Hill. Eliza Had five children, but only three survived the rigours of outback life in the 1820’s.The only surviving male was my father, and he checked out in 1986.

So if anyone is at the pub on the 22^nd, I’d be happy to let you buy me a beer. 😊
