A Harringay Tomato Cornucopia!
I couldn't resist grabbing this snap with my iPhone as I walked along Green Lanes the other day. Makes you glad to be alive, innit!

Bought a bag of these yesterday, cut them up, put them in a big bowl with bits and bobs from the garden, salt, pepper and some oil and vinegar. Dinner with hunks of bread, cheese and fresh figs from the same shop. Fantastic.

Don't know where Hugh snapped them but I bought them (tomatoes and figs) at Dostlar, the corner of Cavendish Road. Got the cheese at Harringay Local Store and bread at Yasser Halim (other brands are available).

Mine were fairly sleepy when I ate them L and tasted fine. On a more serious note, Dostlar really push their goods out across the pavement and so probably get more muck than goods further back.

Hurrahhhh. At last a place where they are selling these in London. Right near where I live too. I'm in France at the moment, and they have these everywhere. I pondered why we can't get these tomatoes too, I'm so happy to see that we can now. Great news. Thanks for the post.

Ooooooo wow, there look absolutely lovely. Unfortunately, my tomato plants all died after doing so well initially. Very sad.
