Well, my first question is, 'are there any'? Last night, I went on a bat walk in Tottenham Cemetery and saw quite a few, which was good fun!
According to one bat enthusiast, he has bats in his garden (a semi in Bruce Grove - see www.streetmap.co.uk - for those of you who live in the break-away republic).
So I can only assume the answer to my own question is 'yes', so my second question is do people know how to help them?
We saw bats here this week on the ladder - a real treat. Normally it's a load a batty people we have to put up with walking along the passage after dark.
There's a bat walk and talk in Lorship Rec woodlands on Saturday 6 September at 7.45pm, in case anyone's interested in learning more about bats. Meeting point: Higham Road
We also have a couple of bats around Seymour - haven't seen them this much this summer (if you can call it that!) though. Probably the same ones as Hewitt Rd.
