Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Hello,

It's only 2 weeks until premier league football starts up again (yes it does start earlier every year) and the official fantasy football site is now open for registration here: http://fantasy.premierleague.com/

The site allows for individual leagues to be set up (we usually play one at work) and I was wondering whether there was enough interest for a HoL league.

Drop me a reply if you're interested.

Nigel.

Never been that interested in Fantasy League Luptonn, opting to watch lower league football live and fantasising about being a good team one day.

My season starts on Saturday with a glam tie at Luton away.

Locally, whilst you have Spurs and Arsenal in the overpriced / overpaid bracket : ) a great local-ish football team is Barnet who are in the same league as my beloved Port Vale.

Kids can get in as low as five quid and adults thirteen. There is a family Pavilion behind Underhill where kids are welcome to run around before and after the game.

Going up to division one, there’s Leyton Orient, fifteen minutes from Harringay Green Lanes Station. It’s another nice family club and Brisbane Road has been developed over the last few years and the facilities are very good.

Whatever your team, enjoy the season ahead.
Yup - I can recommend the mighty Os. I started going about 5 or 6 years ago when my daughter wanted to go to watch football. I was anxious to intervene and stop my children becoming premiership fans and so we tried the Orient and quickly got addicted. They do good deals for families and kids and it is great fun.
And the ground is amazing....
Hi Birdy,

I tend to agree with you. Grass roots is usually more interesting. Live music is really my thing, and I much prefer to see bands play tiny venues in Camden rather than Wembley or the 02.

FF is a way to make the premiership more interesting particularly when all around you at work are playing.

One of my friends is a mad keen Palace fan and I've been down to see them play a few times over the years. Perhaps we should have a HoL group outing to see Leyton Orient. What do you think ?

Hope you have a good start to the season on Saturday.

Nigel.
So.....

If' anyone is interested the league id is 552206-124937

Once you've set up a team click on the manage leagues link on the right hand side of the screen (or use this link here: http://fantasy.premierleague.com/M/myleagues.mc) and enter the above league id.

Cheers - Nigel.
