Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!
5-a-side plans for Finsbury Park are back on
At the Haringey Friends of Parks Forum on Saturday a paper was presented that stated that plans to create a 5-a-side facility are back on - without any extra parking apparently.
The info is in the attached document which also outlines the devastaing cuts that the Parks service are facing.
Please do sign the petition, 2,200 signatures and the cuts will have to be debated: http://bit.ly/kj6fqE.

If you mean the 5 a side, it doesn't exist yet and will entail the enclosure of public land. Background on the previous incarnation here.
If you mean the private companies running sports centres, in a previous thread most seemed happiest with social enterprises doing it

Mark im a regular basketball player at finsbury park court
I petitioned last year but the proposal was dropped before i handed the petition in so i have pages and pages of signatures opposing the development. I guess i will start my petition up again im on about 500 signatures

"Does anyone know if there is any alternative sites for the Proposed Finsbury Park 5-a-side Football Centre either in the park or elsewhere in the borough or is this now completly dead in the water??
