Four more fantastic acts for this month’s Folk in the Jar.

@latesummerband is an indie-folk trio bringing together 3 friends who love to explore vocal harmony in their songwriting. They’ve recently released their debut single, Be Kind to high praise (from their friends & family).

@jacken.elswyth is a London-based folk musician, banjo player, and instrument builder – focused on exploring traditional tunes, developing extrapolations on folk styles and techniques, and investigating drone, ambience, and improvisation within and beyond folk music.

Born and bred in the East Midlands, queer folk artist Emily Ashberry is a singer-songwriter-come-balladeer with an innate feeling for crafting meaningful stories through her music. ​​

@birdinthebelly is a Brighton-based Folk group consisting of folk-duo Hickory Signals (Laura Ward and Adam Ronchetti), alt-folk singer-songwriter Ben Webb (Jinnwoo, Green Ribbons), and multi-instrumentalist and producer Tom Pryor. Together they collect little known and forgotten lyrics, poems and stories from around the UK, and set them to their own “hypnotically original compositions” (fRoots)..
