Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Hi everyone! I've recently become involved in a scheme called the Loose Ends Project, which aims to have volunteers finish off craft projects left incomplete when their creator has died or become too ill/injured to complete them, as a way of helping their loved ones come to terms with their loss. It's a new project started in the US, but now has volunteer "finishers" signed up in 37 countries, including many in the UK, who are ready and waiting to finish projects that have been left behind.

The project covers all types of fibre arts - knitting, crochet, sewing (all kinds - quilting, embroidery, cross stitch, etc.), felting, and so on.

I'm attaching the flyer for the project, which has the official detail on how to submit a project to be finished or to sign up as a finisher, and I have paper flyers available if there are any groups or businesses out there who would like to display them. The project's website is here and please feel free to ask me any questions about the project you might have that aren't covered by the FAQ on there!

What a wonderful project.

Seems like an ideal project for ITV's Loose Women rather than for Jay Blades' Repair Shop.

Fascinating. Thanks for sharing.

What a great project. Have looked at the website and see the organisation is based in the USA. Does it have a UK coordinator?

Matching is done centrally in the US at the moment, but it's early days.
