Botanical Drawing Class at The Hub Cafe, near the Lake, Lordship Recreation Ground, off Higham road, N17

Join a friendly relaxed Botanical Drawing class under the expert guidance of Joanne Roberts, a Botanical Illustrator, No experience needed! WASSAIL! at The Hub, Lordship Recreation Ground

Join us in the Orchard  and Hub in  a traditional winter family festival celebrating Apple ( and other) Trees. Lantern making for children, in the Hub,  ivy wreath making, processing to live music to the Orchard where we raise a toast to the Wassail tree, sing songs, children hang 'toast' on the trees, we sup warming mulled cider and (non alcoholic) hot Sorrel. BioBlitz at The Hub off Higham road N176NU

Join an exciting survey to get a snapshot of the biodiversity in Lordship Recreation ground. 5 experts will lead hourly sessions to explore the trees, birds, ants, plants and flowers and mini-beasts. The results will be fed into the national biological records. No experience needed, and its completely FREE. Just turn up or book via Eventbrite. Wassail! at The Hub, Lordship Recreation Ground off Higham rd, N17

January 15, 2023 from 2pm to 5pm
Join us for a family friendly traditional celebration of Apple Trees, to wish them a bountiful harvest. Children (who must be accompanied by an adult), bring pots and pans to bang to scare away the evil spirits!We will start with a lantern making workshop in The Hub then process to the Orchard to sing and toast the Wassail tree.
