Police cars and cordon Stanhope Gardens Monday 7am

Drew back the curtains around 7am to see several police cars outside and busy police officers. There's now a tape across the road at junction of Stanhope and Sussex Gardens. No idea what's going on, perhaps another mistakenly released prisoner found? See More

The Langham Club to be on the telly!!

Posted on May 22, 2011 at 11:11 0 Comments

Wont be till November sometime but will advise anyone interested in seeing our own local working men's club on BBC4.

I was contacted by folk there who are making a documentary about drinking cultures and they wanted to interview me about clubs (which I write about.)

So, the best place clearly to be interviewed on camera was the local club and I arranged for this to happen. We did this on Friday morning. Thanks to Keith the barman there for opening up early so we could film in…

Posted on February 27, 2011 at 21:45 22 Comments

The RB Legion in Crouch End closed down a few months back so another old part of Haringey gone for good and yet another club lost to the wider community. Sad to see the 'For Sale' sign up.

I am researching clubs so if anyone has any information about the place, which dates back to the 1920s, then you can over to me- thanks! I am documenting as many clubs as possible on…

Hello Ruth,

I've just remembered I need to be in Hampstead for 10am tomorrow morning to see my friend before she flies off to New Zealand.

Could you kindly text me on 07879 642778 and I'll message when I leave later in the day to see when would be convenient for you, is that ok? Otherwise, you could leave it in your recycle bin or hidden somewhere and I'll just swing by and collect.

Cheers

Sally
