Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

And so have you; so have we all. For today, neighbours, has been the Ides of March.

But what is an Ide, or more correctly, what are the Ides? (That is apart from being the day on which Caesar met his maker).

Find out here.

Made simpler by the mnemonic from our first week of Latin lessons:
"March, July, October, May
Make Nones the 7th, Ides the 15th day."

It also helps me to remember my wife's birthday - Ides of March.
My wife's birthday is 15/3 too :) Handy isn't it and the source of many feeble jokes.
I seem to remember it being something about the middle day of the month. There are other days which are the first and last days (and I guess the nones as well from OAE's post). Anyone have a better Latin lesson memory on this?
Click the link in the original posting, Anthony.
ahh, thanks.
And did you know that tomorrow will be 'a.d.xvi Kal.Apr.' - aka Dies Sancti Patricii - where 'a.d.' means 'ante diem', not 'anno domini' ? And you thought the Yanks with their 9/11 had their Kalendarium arsewise!
Infamy, Infamy!

They've all got it infamy!
