Hello,
I live in a block of flats over some shops on West Green Road and the council doesn't provide food waste collection for us. We used to have bins in he courtyard but they were removed due to bad habits of local residents that used the area as an open dumb.
I teach environmental education and are used to separate my garbage and make compost with my food waste, so I can't accept to throw everything away in the black bin now.
I got a big green caddy in my balcony, but I still can't find a solution of where to bring my food waste when it is full. Near parks don't have composting areas.
I wondered if anyone living near my flat in a proper house where they collect food waste could allow me to bring my caddy every couple of weeks in front of their house so that my food waste is collected too?
Any flat in between Turnpike Lane tube station and Belmont Road is close enough.
I'd really appreciate help given that the council clearly told me to just not separate it and put all in the general waste bags!
Please, help me creating the conditions to do the right thing! :)
Thanks,
Cati

Hi, I'm just off Westbury Avenue so not as close as you'd like, but you'd be welcome if/until you get any better offers!
Thanks to all!
For now I found a neighbor who live closer and lets me leave my caddy in front of her house with hers.
If I'll need again another solution I'll consider your suggestions! :)
It would be great if the borough would simply re-establish the bins! But let's see...
Thanks!
Cheers
Cati
