Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!
Wanted 10mins help from able-bodied person on Friday 6th at 9am
i would be very grateful if someone (sorry a man preferably) could help my husband move my heavy single bed from one room to next. It is on the same floor so not awkward steps involved but 10 minutes help with this early Friday 6th at 9am would be fantastic.
I am on Green Lanes end of Hermitage Road just close to Eade Road N4 - 07785 397137.
My bed is being replaced by a hospital one this Friday and space for it has to be immediately ready all day. (We did have two people when the bed (mechanical-folding one) was first brought here but our friend is away now.)

Thank you GirlOnBike and Nicky for your kind response to my request for help this Friday.
My husband has had a go at lifting the bed himself now though and told me that he can manage it on his own. I checked him again because of his bad back and what he had said earlier to me about help but no, he was adamant that he wanted to do the bed move on his own now!
So, thanks again and I wish you both all the very best for the New Year.

Us men can be very stubborn but it can be so easy aggravate a bad back. I am very close by and available at that time so if he can be persuaded let me know, if not tell him to take it easy!

Yes my lovely husband is stubborn, however, fortunately for him (and me) he did manage the move on his own and no bad back groans after!
Your offer of help after GirlOnBike and Nicky's was so sensitive and caring- you are all such great neighbours to have! Please do call me (not before midday please) when you have any spare time and I would love to get you some tea/coffee and maybe repay your generous offers with some of my local tips. I have been in N4 now for 18 years from my previous SW13 life growing up. Barnes was/is beautiful but I really love/prefer Haringey now.
