A big thank you to Ian Scotchbrook (South Harringay School) and his staff

I got a letter home from South Harringay School yesterday about the initial findings from their recent Ofsted inspection; they achieved a "good" and from what I read they are well on the way towards "outstanding" next time.  I'm not sure how much of this initial assessment we are supposed to share - the full Ofsted report will obviously be published soon enough, but it seems clear that Mr Scotchbrook's leadership skills (and that of Assistant Head, Mrs Thomas) have been fully recognised and big improvements have been made since he became Head.  Good "leadership" is hard to define, and even harder to achieve; but whatever it is, he's got it.  As a parent I'm extremely grateful for his safe stewardship through the school confederation process last year and for all the school's excellent work.  I'm very proud to say my son is a pupil there. Thank you.
