Following the success of the Penguin school almost opposite Paul and Ebony's Harringay Local Store, a new school is opening just down the road in the old high street snap and shoot photo studio just near the corner of Hewitt.
Ten year Harringay resident Ozjan is opening LMS (Language, Music and Science) school in September. It sounds like it will be a very sympathetic build, keeping much of the original materials.
More towards the opening date.

I saw that yesterday and wondered what LMS stood for. They've completely stripped out the building, floorboards and all.
I think they had to change the flooring - no choice, but so far they've left the tongue and groove walling.
So it's a school?!
Their shop sign is not very informative; neither is their website!
I thought I could walk in and find out for myself. The few bookshelves with the small stack of books did not convince me that it could be a book shop. Judging by the set up (tables and chairs), it looked more like a cafe but then again the humble tea and coffee paraphernalia did not point towards a serious coffee shop!
I asked the young woman behind the counter who in turn conveyed my question in Turkish to another young woman who was busy with some paperwork behind one of the tables. She replied something in Turkish and the first woman simply said that they had Turkish tea! I asked them if they had any cakes to which she replied "No"! I got the impression that they were secretive about something!
There were a few women and children at the tables but no one was drinking or eating; they were just sitting there!
What is the point of opening a business but not bother to advertise or at least give information when they are asked?
Hope it's not a front!
Does anyone know any more about what LMS is offering? There are always people in there when I go past (daily) but I can't tell what they're doing. Yell.com has it as a children's bookshop.
Largely serving the Turkish/Kurdish community I think with Esol courses and maths as well. Popped in and spoke with the owner a few weeks back. Very ernest. Seems like a nice guy. It's not aiming to lead on Green Lanes cafe culture :)
Thanks!
