DOUBLE BED

Any recommendations locally for purchasing and making a new double bed rather than IKEA etc ?

I can recommend Warren Evans - they have a showroom in Camden, they always seem to have a sale on, and you don't have to build the bed yourself!

You could try Litvinoff and Fawcett in Hackney.  They handmake beds and matresses and have been there for years.

We got our bed from L&V, great showroom, really good quality and looks good. Also pretty cheap

Seconding the Warren Evans recommendation. They have lovely solid beds and I think they won an ethical retailer award. They cost more than IKEA but I can imagine ours lasting for a lot longer than IKEA beds.

I got mine from Taurus who are based in Swiss Cottage.  Great service - bought mine about 5 years ago and it's still going strong!
