Hello, I require a voluntary counselling placement with ages 16 plus. I am on a BACP Diploma/Degree and am also a volunteer with NSPCC on childline as a child counsellor.
I would very much appreciate any help with where I might find a placement. I live off St Ann's road here in Haringey.
Thank you in advance for any help given,
Regards,
R O'Donovan

I second the reply below re Mind In Haringey. You may also consider contacting Open Door (they are on Middle Lane, in Crouch End and St Ann's Hospital as they have a counselling service there).
Best of luck!
Thank you, Mind are full, Open Door are full. Will try St Ann's
Did you mean you're on an accredited course, Rebecca? Personal accreditation with BACP is only possible following qualification, further experience and submission of a detailed work portfolio.....

Yes that's right I am on a BACP accredited course. For those that don't know, it just makes it easier once you have the diploma.
I found a placement with a drugs and alcohol agency and am enjoying my first year. Thank you for all the replies. Mind said maybe next year, spectrum wasn't able to offer placement, and Open Door said they only take psychodynamic counsellors in training (I am Person Centred), which is Humanistic.
Any other 'BACP members in training', out there?
Regards, Becca
