Actually got to the payment stage on Friday - paid, but no download of permit page appeared - so after hunting about to find the seemingly concealed number I rang Parking to find - "...you are number seven in the queue, the expected wait time is 26 minutes..." I gave up after ten minutes as I'd only moved to number six. So I've submitted a complaint.
I suggest you submit an online complaint form.
Haringey have confirmed their is an issue with their system that's been ongoing for months, which they have been attempting to fix. Apparently it doesn't effect all renewals, I just had to renew over the phone, 15 minute wait. At least they are posting the permit first class and have also emailed a reference number
