There is a black cat which roams on the roadside of Duckett Rd, Cavendish Rd and Wightman Rd N4. The cat has a red collar with two rows of small round flat silver studs and a silver buckle. There is also an elastic band on the collar. It’s not a safety release collar so there’s a danger the cat will get hurt if the collar gets caught on something. (These safety personalised collars are a safer option). The cat must have an owner as previously the cat had a gold collar and then a white and black collar.
Neighbours would like to know who the cat belongs to as it's risky for a cat to be out the front. It's much safer for a cat to have access to a back garden and have a catflap. The cat is too scaredy to be stroked or picked up so has not been scanned for a microchip and no one has been able put a note on its collar.
The cat is on the road a lot and seems to sometimes get injuries, perhaps car injuries or cat fight injuries. Probably needs a vet check and neutering and to be away from the danger of the road, and safe inside at night.
If anyone knows who the cat might belong to, or the cat visits you, please let us know or contact Stokey Cats and Dogs. Assistance can be offered, such as neutering or general help and advice. If its not neutered yet, neutering is vital.

I'm told that this black cat (with red collar silver studs) was last seen on the evening of 25th July, almost getting run over by a car on Duckett Rd N4, but just avoided car in time.
(On the same road out the front, a different black cat has also been seen with a limping back leg and a tabby cat with no tail).
It's so risky if a cat is on the road. For any cat owners out there, it's much safer if a cat has cat flap access to a back garden and kept safe inside at night.
