Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Seven Sisters Station Entrance Transformation by Architecture Collective

The Turner Prize-nominated studio is apparently looking into subterranean geology to inspire their above-ground intervention at one of the station’s entrances that has been plagued by anti-social behaviour problems.

Assemble’s installation, expected to be ready for August 2016, is among the first to be commissioned in the on the Victoria Line.

Through the initiative, TfL is looking to honour 19th century artist William Morris’ belief that art should be for everyone.

About bleedin' time...

Do you know if this is still going ahead? Not much sign of anything happening just yet!

Assemble confirmed to me by phone that the project is going ahead, but I haven't heard back for them yet with any further info.

That's great - looking forward to finding out more on this one!

This back by email:

The Seven Sisters project is still going ahead. We’ve been delayed by the discovery of some asbestos in the commercial unit which we’re working on, but we’re hoping to do a lot of the production in November- December, with installation in January-February.

Thanks for the update :) I'm not surprised there is a delay, the commercial unit looks pretty rotten on the roof as well!

Yes i'm looking forward to this! there will be a community aspect to the making of  it too - my mate Matt is working on tiles for it
