Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

The flyposted on trees notices about the Harringay Ladder Jumble Trail, which was two weeks ago, are still there.

If you must flypost, which is an offence in itself, don't you agree that it's your responsibility to take them down afterwards ?

Can we just agree to take them down when we see them and know that they're not supposed to be there? Stuff done for the community is really taking a battering because of the work involved, let's cut them some slack and help out a bit eh?

Doesn't work. How many people have walked past it on Raleigh Rd in the past two weeks and not bothered ?

Why don't you help  out? Its really easy to take them down and since you pass them all the time....

I do take them down.

But it annoys me since it's symptomatic of the lack of civic responsibility of the posters

- " someone else can do it " - which is mirrored in many other ways.

I totally agree John.  People think that when their event is over, that is the end of it.  It's as important to take the signs down as it is to put them up.  People should work that into their game plan when they decide to do an event.

Would you please help us with the next event then?

"someone else can do it" is also the attitude of people to civic events around here. They're done by a core group of people who take nothing but crap for minor misdemeanors like this. We honestly just forget. Note that the park is never left in a state after the film nights because people stay back cleaning up.

Really, really, really?

Phlip, I take pliers with me when I go and out cut cable ties of lamp posts that people leave their.  Might not be a big deal, but the landscape does look better.  I've cut down hundreds in the area.

We're only using sellotape so that you don't need to do that. Sadly when we did the Harringay Hurtle it meant that some of the signs were removed before the event.
