We're not the only one. We were one of the first of the new ones from 2007. I think one of the guys who's now a councillor in Hornsey had set up a forum in Hornsey on the late 90s (David Winskill perhaps?), but that was when the web was a minority sport.

Of the late-noughties ones, there are various different types - online newspapers/mags, forum/blogs, forums, blogs. Within Haringey, most of them have followed HoL and set up as forum/blogs on the same platform we used.

Loads were set up between 2008 - 2012, many of which have now closed down.

To get an overview see localweblist.net. I think it's sort of up-to-date (last major refresh about a year ago), but there are things missing and I imagine it includes some defunct sites too.

brixtonbuzz - I was following this recently about the occupation of Carnegie Library objecting to Lambeth library closures.
